Your only
place to be on the Northern Malawi lake shore!
Nestled around a secluded cove on the Sangilo
peninsula, the Sanctuary provides an idyllic escape to the lake in Northern Malawi. Opened in December 2004 it
has rapidly become recognised to be a place where good food, a friendly bar
and stunning scenery can be enjoyed in perfect peace along with the
enchanting secret beach, unique rock "caves" and crystal clear
waters.
The Sanctuary is run
on eco-friendly principles; power is provided by solar panels and inverters
providing lights, music and 240v sockets for guests' needs.
"Airconditioning" is provided by careful planning of buildings
and windows to make the most of lake breezes. There is cellphone coverage
should you really feel the need to communicate with the outside world! We
are committed to making your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible at
a price that won't strain your budget.
